This is a vintage 1947 cabin makeover that captures the essence of early McCall and combines it with the flavor of today. A tasteful mix of old with new makes for a delightful summer getaway or winter hideout. A solid wall of glass across the front opens onto a large deck area with stainless steel cable railing that allows for amazing views of the lake and surrounding mountains. Winter sunrises and sunsets paint the mountains in shaded colors that are vividly different to the bold strong ones of summer. Earthy interior details include a radiant heated floor, a cozy gas fireplace, Mr Steam shower for two, and the original 'combed plywood' kitchen cabinets and wall treatments. Walk outdoors from the lower covered deck area which opens directly onto the sandy beach just 10' from the water. This deck is perfect for being outside while you watch the kids playing on the beach. Or just gather together for a hand of cards without the sunburn - guaranteed!! The large upper deck opens from the living room and the views are spectacular. Views of the sunrise and sunset are breathtaking. The colors that spread across the mountains and across the lake are endless. Bring your camera for some great photos. Bring your own boat and toys, or rent them from Cheap Thrills. The large private dock is perfect! Dine on either of the 2 decks or on the covered side porch. A modern office in the back has DSL wireless, and lots of workspace. There is a Sundance hot tub on the lower deck that seats four. There are 2 flat screen televisions, one in the living room, one in one of the king size bdrms. The house is located just one mile N on Warren Wagon Road. You can easily boat, bicycle, or hike to town. There is a bike trail a short distance from the house & you can bike from there all the way around the lake or access the many trails in Bear Basin just across the street. Maps are provided in the house. There are great restaurants, several hot springs, and excellent golf courses from which to choose. Winter allows for great snowmobile forays, or if you're inclined to ice-skating, the Manchester Ice Rink is a delight, or better yet, clear a swath of snow from the frozen lake for your own private rink. Snowboarding and skiing in the winter is only 17 minutes away at Brundage Ski Resort! What started as a small, lakeside log cabin in the 1940’s and grew to accommodate an enlarging family in the 1970’s, is today a quirky, well-loved mountain-lake get-away that offers breath-taking views, family-style comfort, and a great place to relax and recreate. The functionality and design of this cabin harken back to more simple days. You won’t find granite, or big tiled showers. You won’t see quarter-sawn oak or majestic two-story windows. You will see some rustic knotty pine walls (and furniture), hand-crafted fireplaces with rocks gleaned from around Idaho, and chatzkes from the 1940’s and on – an eclectic collection of one family’s little “treasures” added bit by bit to the cabin’s aura over the last 50 years. You also will find a relaxed atmosphere, a friendly neighborhood community, and of course, a big beautiful lake right outside your door.   There’s nothing fancy in this old cabin but there are lots of stories and we hope you’ll make your own stories here when you visit. Our family has lived and loved here for 50 years and five generations!   Four bedrooms sleep up to 8 people and the bunk-rumpus room can sleep up to 4 more with the trundle bed. Two bathrooms provide sinks, showers, and toilets. They won’t pass “spa” standards but they will get the job done as long as you’re not searching for “deluxe”.  You might find they even elicit a few smiles as you examine the 1940’s knotty pine or the 1970’s wallpaper.   If 1970’s wood paneling is your thing, you’ll love the big lofted family and dining area on the main floor complete with custom fireplace and circular stairs (mind the gap!).  The master bedroom invites you in with a special “white & gold” version of the paneling – tres chiq!   Downstairs it’s all 1940’s! Knotty wood walls, ceilings and even some original furniture. The fireplace provides a little “oh my, look at that” feel as well. It’s just for pretty though so please don’t actually try to use it.

Bedroom #2 has a queen size bed, bedroom #3 has a queen size bed and the bunk room has 2 sets of twin bunks. Total of 9 beds and will sleep 12 comfortably. If you are looking to step back in time and have all the luxuries and amenities afforded by a classic McCall lakefront cabin, then look no further than Inertia Inn. Located in the very desirable area of Sylvan Beach, the cabin was originally one of the many cabins used during the filming of Northwest Passage that was shot in McCall in the late 1930's and starred Spencer Tracy. The present owner's family purchased the cabin in 1947 after the previous owner's wife had a late night sighting of our local “sea monster,” Sharlie! The cabin has remained in the same family ever since, although it has been winterized and modernized several times over the years! Lakeview and Location. This third story unit has a wonderful view of Payette Lake and the surrounding mountains from the kitchen, living room, dining room and master bedroom. The attached picture, taken from the balcony, doesn't do justice to the beauty of the lake and surrounding mountains. You will be one block from the waterfront Brown's Park which has a dock, swimming beach and toddlers playground. Legacy Park, which was recently renovated and upgraded is two blocks away and Davis Beach is a 5 minute walk. Walk five minutes to town, the shops and restaurants, and skating rink. The golf course is a 3 minute drive, and Poderosa State Park entrance is one half mile. Kayak, bike, boat and PWC rentals are all within three blocks. Welcome to our Park Plaza Condo! This is a spacious 1700 square foot condo, 3 bedroom condo with a very large master and 2 additional rooms on the other side of the condo to separate guests. The master has 1 king bed with a converted oversized walk-in closet that offers a 4th room with bunk beds that sleep 2. The additional rooms each have queen beds. There are 2 full bathrooms with a jetted Jacuzzi tub in the master. We are right in the heart of downtown with stunning views of the lake from the front balcony (living room and kitchen) and peer into downtown from the back balcony. Steps from restaurants, equipment rentals, the lake and marina. Walk to everything downtown McCall has to offer! Parking is first come first serve, no assigned spots but we have a sign to reserve a spot if needed, generally not an issue. For additional parking and trailers there is plenty of free public parking across the street.
